The Press is facilitating a Fianna Fáil Ploy via Branedy June 13th, 2010 at 19:16

If you haven’t heard there is a vote in The Dáil on Tuesday, A No Confidence Vote against the Fianna Fáil Government. But listening to RTE and the Newspapers, you would only hear about Fine Gael frontbenchers ousting Kenny . What? No! We are voting AGAINST Fianna Fáil ! Where did all the kerfuffle about Kenny come about. In a word Fianna Fáil! It’s a ploy augmented by the gullible and lazy press to deflect attention away from the Tuesday No Confidence Vote. A lame attempt to displace attention away from their criminal activities which created the Irish Banking Crisis and to make a mockery of the Vote....

The YES! vote. via Branedy September 14th, 2009 at 09:26

One thing, If the Yes vote is supposed to be the right (as in correct, AND good) Vote. Why is so much money being spent to Buy the Yes Vote! Shouldn’t the Yes be self evident? And don’t say that it’s because there is a ‘No!’ campaign on, that must be countered. Opposition occurred second....

Fear and Loathing in the U.S. via Branedy August 9th, 2009 at 11:21

I found this on the @SarahPalin_Blog and it reads in the discription; The continuing story of a moose hunting, hockey Mom who may become leader of the free world. And I find this disturbing and frightening on so many levels, however after thinking about it for a bit it could never happen. For if Ms. Palin should ever become President of the United States, The United States would cease to be part of the ‘Free World’ and be in fact, the antithesis of a free country, a new Fascist state would rise, and have to be putdown by the remaining ‘Free World’ countries. Be afraid, be very afraid! For if you don’t put down a mad dog now, you will surly have to put it down later after it’s bitten someone!...

Sorry I missed you Cllr. Dan Fleming via Holy Shmoly! June 4th, 2009 at 23:10

image This message from Cllr. Dan Fleming was stuffed into gates all over my estate this evening. I know they only have so much time on their hands but the letter was rolled up tightly and squashed between the bars on our gate and in the gates of other houses. I’d venture to say that it took as long to roll and fold the letter up as it would to walk to our front door. The only other people to stuff literature into our gate are those clothes collectors and they’re possibly more popular than Fianna Fail at this stage. I’m sure he’s a great guy and he’d have a great chat with you and all that but there’s no sign that he’s a Fianna Fail man. The missing party name strikes again! His website is down but his Fianna Fail page is up however. I’m still...

The Epitome of Dirty Politics, McCain/Palin via Branedy November 3rd, 2008 at 19:32

They are even making things up now, This article “ He Will Bankrupt Coal Industry “has been so thoroughly debunked as a fraud it’s stunning, but it’s being promoted as the gospel truth by all the GOP zombies on the planet, it’s shocking in the depth of it slime. And we have 24 more hours to put up with......

Obama may lose! via Branedy October 26th, 2008 at 00:58

The reality is, Obama may lose!. At a dinner party tonight some visiting Brit’s repeatedly ask me who I thought would win McCain, or Obama. Overwhelmingly they all agreed that they preferred Obama, and followed it up with how disgusted they were with Bush, and how poor a choice for VP McCain made in Palin. But the reality is Obama can still lose. America, white America is fundamentally racist and unless Obama has a massive lead going into the final election HOUR! And so long as some news agency doesn’t call the election for McCain early. The racism will rise to the surface and we will have to live with the McCain HELL for the next 4 years. White America will not vote, in the privacy of the booth, for a Nigger! Plain, simple, Ugly and......

Wounded Tigers and Irish Grannies via Branedy October 22nd, 2008 at 14:13

image Listening to RTE radio this noon, I realized there is something more dangerous than a wounded (Irish) Tiger, and that’s an Irish Granny! If you could harness the energy of the Irish grannies, you would wouldn’t need dynamite under a politician’s seat. You could power the country with them And I wish that they had been mobilized during the last elections. Hey, maybe we need another election, it could happen!...

McCain releases Racist Jeni and tears country apart. via Branedy October 11th, 2008 at 10:57

McCain has released the Racist Jeni and is tearing the United States apart. This news comes as McCain booed after trying to calm anti-Obama crowd. He and his co-conspirator Sara Palin have, with full knowledge, released this monster on the American people out of desperation, and are gleefully soaking up it’s benifits. There has always been a racist vein running through American culture, but now that white america is faced with becoming the minority on this planet, the prospect of being lead by ‘one of them’ has become......

A glimmer of Democracy via Branedy October 4th, 2008 at 21:17

This article is amusing as a Sudden outbreak of democracy baffles US pundits. I was chilled by the observation that the Media and Pundits were so amazed at the opposition reaction to the Congressional bail out. The observation of this writer, was spot on with the snobs being snubbed by the general population. What would happen if the banks holding flaky mortgages failed, what if all the marginal mortgage holders were just granted the properties held by the banks. and then allow the banks fail. Wouldn’t that be real justice for corrupt banking and financial managers? “Your representative owes you, not his industry only, but his judgment; and he betrays, instead of serving you, if he sacrifices it to your opinion.” Edmund Burke (1729-1797) Irish-born British statesman,...

Sarah Palin - The Barracuda via Branedy September 6th, 2008 at 11:52

Someone from the States just email me this link, and it makes for interesting reading. Calling Sarah Palin the Barracuda may be only the start of the story. This woman is down right dangerous, not to the Democrats, but the Republicans, as she represents all the worst traits that Republicans have been demonstrating over the last 8 years in the......

Predicting a vote Theft via Branedy August 25th, 2008 at 19:44

Articles like the one at Slate: WHERE THE ELECTIONS STAND TODAY is a prescription for Vote Theft. Not that they are promoting theft, but by presenting ‘opinion’ as facts, and displaying the point spread of the two Presidential candidates, McCain and Obama, as if they were very close together. They promote doubt about the real margin so should there be wide spread vote fraud, the public will not suspect it as easily. There is a vast difference in the chances of winning. There is currently a 60% chance Obama will win against a 38% chance McCain will win at Intrade. That is a 22 point advantage for Obama, not even including any indecision on the part of the public. Intrade has had the most accurate data in this and the previous elections in the U.S. making any other...

President Biden via Branedy August 23rd, 2008 at 17:58

That doesn’t sound too bad, after all that will be the result should Barack Obama fall ill, or be assassinated, the Vice-Presidential nominee Joe Biden assumes the position of President. And that likelihood is very high, as Obama will have a serious segment of the U.S. population enraged, the bigots and racist that constitute the radical GOP right......

Hillary’s rising fortune, floats McCain’s boat via Branedy May 2nd, 2008 at 09:04

I got an email from Intrade and read the interesting fact that as Hillary’s chances (over the last few days) for becoming the Democratic Nominee for President rise out of her previous low chances, The probability that John McCain to Win the 2008 US Presidential Election goes up also. The specter of a Hillary nomination as the Democratic candidate, Makes the probability that McCain will be the next President greater. This should be a serious concern for the Democratic Party, if Hillary gets nominated, McCain Wins! Call that a prediction, because it will be mine....

Hillary to loose Pennsylvania Primary via Branedy April 22nd, 2008 at 10:07

Hillary has become a Democratic Albatross via Branedy March 10th, 2008 at 19:23

Hillary has placed herself outside the Democratic Party and into the Ream of Carl Rove better described as the Eighth Circle of Hell where the sins of conscious fraud or treachery are sent. She is not the instrument of change in Washington, only the purveyor of status quo where insiders rule the government. The Democratic party had best get their act together, and require Hillary to drop out before the Presidential Election is decided in favor of the Republicans prior to the National conventions even begin....

Republicans are faking Hillary’s Ohio win. via Branedy March 6th, 2008 at 08:35

Looks like Hillary’s win in Ohio was mostly a republican fake job, a GOP effort to continue the Democratic battle for the Presidential nomination. The problem is, that it works into the deluded view within the Hillary campaign that she is the best candidate to challenge McCain in November. So besides the spin that most politicians use to promote themselves, is also becoming the ‘reality’ served to the Candidate themselves. I think Hillary has convinced herself that she is the winner. Reality has nothing to do with it, where has the perspective of what is best for the Democratic Party, and the American People, gone? A conspiracy nut would think that this is is yet another deal to keep a Republican in the White House. The only thing missing would be having Dick Chaney,...

Texas a hollow Victory for Hillary via Branedy March 5th, 2008 at 07:27

Splitting the Male White vote in Texas, even winning the primary in Texas is a hollow victory as Hillary can’t win Texas in a Presidential election. It one of the Red state Republican strong holds. It, along with the other Red states might as well not count at all in a Democratic Presidential nominee. The only thing that should count is ‘Swing’ states and ‘Blue’ states, and Hillary has not won all the Blue states, let alone the Swing states. Hillary should step down, and protect the Democratic parties possibility of a Presidential win, if she takes the nomination, she will loose to McCain. It’s that simple....

Obama to be assassinated via Branedy February 26th, 2008 at 09:16

Or at least that is the desire of some. I’m afraid there is a massive movement of miss information underway to undermine the Obama presidential campaign. Emails and messages are being passed throughout the American South and the Bible Belt that such things as Obama being a Closet Muslin and that he intends to swear into the Presidential Office on the Koran (Quran) rather than the bible. I personally thought this was silly until I saw this video God and Politics in Lynchburg Tennessee It’s amazing the ignorance being spoken here. But the more interesting is the indications that the source of the information is an ‘information artifact’ where there is no defined source for the ‘fact’ being quoted. But the the ‘fact’ carried such emotional...

Religion and politics via Branedy January 26th, 2008 at 20:56

In the current political race to the U.S. Presidency religion has become a major issue with Clinton, McCain, Huckabee, Romney and Obama, that some of them have even gone so far as to profess a disbelief in Evolution as a true measure of the religious convictions. Now one of the primary reasons politicians proudly display their religious credentials is the mistaken belief of the religiously deluded that the politician in question somehow identifies them with a higher moral standard, and therefore are more honest and trustworthy. This couldn’t be further from the truth, as any rational person knows, the very fact that they ARE Politicians precludes any guise of honesty and trust. People who’s only desire and chosen career path is the control of other people’s lives under...

Hillary Didn’t win, and Obama didn’t loose New Hampshire via Branedy January 10th, 2008 at 18:28

When Hillary declares Hillary Wins New Hampshire! don’t believe it, she tied with Obama. They both earned the same number of electors from the New Hampshire primary. But Hillary would be hurt by declaring it a tie, and it would only serve to boost Obama in the future. Talk about spin, but that is the nature of an electoral system that is fundamentally broken and corrupt....

Pattern Matching vs Prediction via Branedy December 10th, 2007 at 20:54

I stumbled upon this article about Who Will Win the 2008 U.S. Presidential Election?. And realized that what they we claiming here was not a predictive method, but merely these people’s attempt to fit, to pattern match, ‘Presidential Electability’ factors to winners of elections. And making a half hearted attempt to apply these historical factors to up coming election. I’ll give you some examples, these are the factors they used in a previous ‘prediction’ Who Should Win the 2004 U.S. Presidential Election? they used factors like if the candidate served as Director of Central Intelligence (e.g., George H. W. Bush), was a four- or five-star general officer in the United States Armed Forces (e.g., Dwight D. Eisenhower), or ordered the combat use of...

Hero’s are what we wish leaders to be. via Branedy November 22nd, 2007 at 23:19

And when we seek leaders, in our politicians, or in any person during a crisis and even even in a fellow worker in our day to day work lives. Hero’s brighten our lives, lighten our loads and renew our spirits. On the average we never seem to have enough hero’s, and we often seek them in our dreams, the theater, and on the television. In this coming election season, the hopes and dreams of the world seek a hero in Barack, Hillary, Fred, Ron, Dennis, Mike and Al and/or any of the rest. And the goal of those politicians will be to appear to be, those hero’s, to win our hearts and minds. But hero’s aren’t heros by selling themselves, but by proving themselves, not by convincing us to trust them, but by earning our trust. We shouldn’t be looking for the...
